BREDREN has its own original sound, a mix of Dub, Reggae, Dancehall, Rock and HipHop.
BREDREN is inspired by Jamaican, UK, and International styles ranging from classic Instrumental Dub to Roots Reggae/Lovers Rock alongside hardcore Dancehall Riddems and high energy Rock/HipHop.
What if The Clash jammed with Peter Tosh on a Jamaican beach with U-Roy, Luciano, and Bounty Killah? The gig was mixed by Mad Professor alongside Lee Scratch Perry? Then Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones crashed the party?
BREDREN is honoured to have “Reggae Royalty” Bernie Pitters (Toots and the Maytals) plus his son Akiva(“Killa”) on Keyboards. The Band is firmly anchored by veteran Toronto Drummer Jason Marshall from local Reggae legends “Treble Attack”.
Resinators alumni MC Caddy Cad brings years of live experience on the mic with longtime vocal collaborator General Genius and his “raw an’ ruff” style.
Rounding out the lineup is multi instrumentalist Pierre Mongeon on Horn, Trumpet, Melodica, and Flute.
